Project Coordinator
Job Description
The objective of the Position:
Project Coordinator is a key member of the RM Agronature team and will report to the Research and Development Director.
Working in close cooperation with the Lead Coordinator and, Research and Development Director, the Project Coordinator scope of work includes:
1. Work on Agronature flagship projects, for eg. Kerala handloom project; and the subsidiary, The Social Factor- interns management program.
2. Monitoring stock, sales with daily sales report, assist with stock curation.
3. Participating in project related events and meetings.
4. Maintaining project related documentation and filing.
5. Ensuring all RM Agronature Social work related deliverables and commitments are met including high-quality reports, work plans, and other social work requirements;
6. Selection of Institutions for Agronature to collaborate with.
7. Sending Expression of Interests to various institutions for tie-ups with students & Volunteers.
8. Follow-up institutions for a tie-up with students & Volunteers
9. Onboarding volunteers
10. Project/Program designing for volunteers
11. Deploying them to projects & Programs
12. Training Volunteers with assistance from the research Director
13. Monitoring volunteers with assistance from the research Director
14. Work /Result assessment programs_Presentations
15. Remuneration/Recognition programs for volunteers
16. Documentation
17. Representing Social Factor in specific fora meetings, conferences, and working groups
18. Maintain social media handles for Agronature and Kerala Handloom Project
Core Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Project related tasks specific to Kerala Handlooms: With specific attention to product stock curation, stock maintenance, and updation. Photo updations, and personnel management.
2. Reporting: Ensure high-quality reports for Social Factor and other projects are submitted on time through coordination with Research and Development Director; obtain all relevant information from program staff in a timely manner; ensure R&D Director and other team members are aware of grant deadlines; coordinate and prepare any other grant ad-hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders.
3. Impact Monitoring: In close coordination with the R&D Director, ensure shared knowledge of all grant indicators; review monitoring tools to ensure that data for all project indicators are captured; ensure regular qualitative data-gathering instruments are in place and meet project needs
4. Project Specific adaptation: In close collaboration with the R&D Director, identify areas that require program adaptation and process its approval with the team including the Lead Co-ordinator ; ensure the process is in compliance with Agronature and the specific project.
5. Work plan Tracking: Develop and submit project volunteers work plans/Project Implementation Plans as per project requirements and deadlines; monitor program activity and progress against project work plans; coordinate with R&D Director and Lead Coordinator to identify activities/outcomes/ output that are not being met and work with R&D Director and Lead Coordinator to identify solutions;
6. Financial monitoring: Work with Agronature Board of Directors (BOD) to monitor expenditure against Projects, explore reasons for the variance, address any problems in good time and communicate to the BOD, as necessary.
7. Field Visits: Coordinate donor/external visits for projects, evaluations, monitoring visits, and field missions with relevant units as needed.
8. Knowledge Management: Keep thorough electronic records on all relevant project and work-related matters; produce and disseminate meeting records with Agronature BOD; maintain an up-to-date project management and resource mobilization matrix/database of and follow up and report accordingly.
9. Resource mobilization and proposal development: Support and coordinate the R&D Director and Lead Coordinator to identify future program resource needs and highlight future funding gaps; R&D Director to prepare new concept notes and full proposals to donors, leading or supporting the process of consultation and proposal writing.
10. Strategic Communications and Social Media: Coordinate R&D Director to develop program case studies, human interest stories, and other communications materials for external audiences, articulating achievements, program impact, and lessons learned; provide sector briefs/reports/presentations as needed. Update RM Agronature social media with social factor material judiciously and in a timely manner.
11. Translation of Documents: It may be required that the Associate Co-ordinator translate key English documents to Malayalam, and disseminate them accordingly. Generate Malayalam reports, letters, and other communication materials, in coordination with the R&D Director.

Desired Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Social Work, Sociology or equivalent experience.
2. Demonstrated interest in social work, and rural development.
3. Experience in grassroots advocacy and social media strategy is ideal.
4. Experience or willingness to learn report writing, copy editing, and proofreading skills.
5. Good communication skills.
6. Good project management skills or a strong willingness to learn project management skills.
7. Ability to collaborate with a variety of departments.
8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
9. Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
10. Ability to travel, within the district of Ernakulam, or within Kerala.
11. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
12. Valid driver’s license.
Compensation
Agronature offers competitive pay and benefits. The Project Coordinator’s starting compensation will depend on qualifications and experience.
